Through Campus Vision 2050, UBC has been engaging members of the campus community and neighbourhoods on how the physical Vancouver campus should change and grow to support the needs of the university, its community and its host nation, the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm.
After more than a year and 9,000+ touchpoints with community members, a draft of the 30-Year Vision is now available for the community to review and provide feedback. The vision includes planning for the future of academic spaces, housing, transit, amenities and services and open space, and explores ways to incorporate Indigenous knowledge and practices, and enhance ecology and biodiversity. The vision lays a foundation for equitable, inclusive and thoughtful growth of the campus.
